JEFFERSON PLAYLOT PARK

ABOUT
THE PARK
Jefferson Playlot Park is located in the Lower West Side Community Area of Chicago, Illinois.
Jefferson Playlot Park features a children's playground area with water feature and a 1/8th mile paved loop for walkers, runners and bicyclists. The center of the park provides a large green space for recreation and enjoyment.
The Jefferson Playlot Park Advisory Council (PAC) serves as a liaison between our community and the Chicago Park District in an effort to beautify and utilize the park for the benefit of all.
For parks west of Lake Shore Drive, fieldhouses re-opened on June 8 for limited use of restrooms and cooling stations/shelter from rain. There will be no park programming offered in the fieldhouses at this time. Programming is expected to start July 6. While the fieldhouses will be open, playgrounds, pools and water features will remain closed. Park uses are expected to maintain 6 feet of distance, wear face masks when social distancing is not permitted, stay home when sick and clean up their garbage. Landscape maintenance crews are operating at a reduced capacity this summer. Although garbage collection service resumed full capacity as of June 1, grass cutting may take more time than usual.
